Defenetly one of the best in market for teaching PLL....I am amazed that Mr. Crawford taken the time to put such a book together. It is theoretical, practical, has numerical examples and Matlab programs to show you how. Make no mistake, it is not an easy book to read but let me tell you if you go through it (it took me a good two years) you will know PLLs. Where can you find an example of type 2, fourth order PLL with numerical example and "simulations to back up", but in this book. Many PLL book out there but no one shows you the "How to". Mr. Crawford book is legend and example in writing a book in technical depth and design. Let me tell you, Mr. Crawford's book is not like the useless "Floyed Gardner" book that is all theory and has not even one numerical example and to my surprise it is referenced everywhere! Mr. Crawford book should be the one that need to be referenced. A true gem! As a Principal Technical Staff Engineer and educator in Electrical engineering, Mr Crawford has taught me PLL. Many many books gets published specially in signal integrity topic that are useless like Floyd Gardner which has no examples, graphs are unreadable and basically cut and paste of IEEE papers. Publishers, please use Mr. Crawford book as an example in publishing technical book! Teach me and not frustrate me...By the way I have no affiliation or have meet Mr. Crawford...But reading his book, I respect him..my Kudos...
