UPDATE: I have worn these a total of 10 times, followed all care instructions to the letter, and they have now completely torn out at the seams where the hip pads attach to the shorts. Complete waste of $95. Do not buy these, do not waste your money. Glue foam directly to your leg, wrap your thighs in bubble wrap, just don't waste a dime on this junk.I have been fighting in the SCA for 20 years, I am a Knight, and a Duke, who has won 4 Crown Tournaments. I have been hit in the legs thousands of times, so when I tell you that these actually make leg shots hurt worse than getting hit on bare skin, you will believe me.I really don't know how this material became legal for kidney protection, as it feels like it actually collects the energy from the shot and magnifies it into the target.Unfortunately, this wasn't available on Prime, and Zoombang lists a no return policy, so I am stuck with useless $100 leg "armor"I will try to fix the issue by putting some McDavid Hex Pad under these to maybe cushion the blow a bit, but I am not holding on to hope.
