This cover is surprisingly warm. I live in a city that gets very cold in the winter and have felt confident my LO is warm while in this carrier cover with basic layers. The coldest we've used this carrier is about 30 degrees, for errands that lasted about an hour. My coat was open but my LO was cozy. I on the other hand should have worn an extra bottom layer to block the wind. The cover has a handy pocket on the side for easy access to phone/keys/cards when you don't need to carry a large bag and the bottom folds to shorten for infants. I'm happy we got this cover, I would reccamend.
