Bought this prior to our African photo safari - worked like a charm. Bouncing along in the South African bush in an open Land Cruiser creates a lot of opportunities for equipment bumps. The lens coat cover protected the lens exterior nicely, plus was extremely easy to put in place. I seriously recommend replacing the Canon foot on the tripod collar with one grooved to accept an Arca Swiss mount - makes everything more compact.
