I use these a lot more than I thought I would because they're so simple to use, 60secs in the microwave and the plates/dishes are warm. My kitchen is unheated so in the colder months I have to warm the plates or the food would go cold very quickly. I used to warm them in the top oven which was a waste of electricity or use hot water which was a bit risky!Another issue I had was my granite worktops are also very cold but I now put the plate warmers onto the worktop and put the warm plates on top of them.They can be a bit smelly but the plates aren't tainted.I just wish I'd bought some a few years ago.
