If your microwave is like mine, a Frigidaire (Electrolux) FMV156DCC, it will have three of these sensors. It will not be immediately obvious which sensor has stopped working. So it took some time to replace each sensor, re-assemble the front panel, test it, then repeat until I found the broken sensor. But it did work and I was glad to be able to fix this easily without calling in a repair person. Note that it is possible to do this repair without taking the microwave down off the wall. You only have to remove and disconnect the front panel containing the display and buttons. You may also have to remove the white plastic guide next to it, where the sensors actually connect. Move slowly, be patient, unplug the microwave before you start working, and don't touch anything other than the sensors or the instrument panel, and you will be fine. Not sure where I purchased but $14.00 is way out of line. I did search the internet for the part number and most web sites were the same or more. I had a problem with my microwave and I knew one of the three switches was bad. Did not know which one. I went to purchase the switches, but at $14.00 each, I decided to buy just one. Later, I did a search one "switch black red micro" and discovered that I could have gotten the same switch (same ratings) for less than $3.00 each. Our microwave quit functioning properly and after a quick search on the Internet given the symptoms, I bought this item in hopes that installation of it would correct the problem. Worked like a charm! We have since sold the house but to my knowledge it is still humming along.Installation is simple, requires some research and you really need to find the schematic for your particular model online and remember to UNPLUG it before you start working on it!After my microwave oven stopped in the middle of heating, I decided to research the problem. Amazon was my first choice for buying transfer switch and it was $7 less than the parts supply dealers. The part come in sooner than expected. The part works great and my microwave is working like new. I will definitely buy again if needed. My microwave has 3 transfer switches.Guess these work fine, I dunno. Put mine in and think I wired it right. Hit start and breaker tripped. Threw microwave away and got a new one.Fixed my Frigidaire over the stove microwave myself after watching youtube video. This part saved me a lot of money! Easy fix, did it while hubs was deployed. Made myself super proud of my fixing abilities!Solves the most common problem of timer counting down but microwave not working. Easy to install and got my Frigidaire over the range microwave working again. Value for money. For installation instructions, check out YouTube.Had it for about a year now and no issues. My microwave has 3 of them and one went out too early. But the replacement has kept up!Seems to be of better quality then the switch it replaced.
