I have chronic dry eyes that can become so itchy and painful, I want to cry (but obviously I can't, hence the dry eyes). I tried drops recommended by my doctor, but they stung and didn't help the dryness/itchiness.If I use a simple warm washcloth over my eyes, it provides comfort at first, but the dry itchy feeling returns later in the day. When I use this eye mask, the effect seems to last all day!The mask also feels so good on my eyes. The weighted feeling from the beads create a gentle pressure (similar to pressing your palms into your eyeballs), and the heat lasts a long time, at least 10 minutes.The only issue is that you have to periodically wash it and it may take up to 24 hours to dry. I plan to buy a second to use while the first is drying.This thing works great. Do Not listen to TOG.!! This Does work. I've been using this for 3 yesrs Every day.!! Really Wakes up your Eyes. I usually heat in microwave for 36 seconds. Gets very hot. Bring it to my bed. Lay on my back. Then just wait about 1 or 2 minutes max. So it can cool down to a good temperature. This Cools very quickly. As soon as it's at a good very warm temperature I lay it on my eyes for at least 10 minutes.!! If you're in a rush you can do 5 to 8 minutes. I use this Every day.!!!I bought this some time ago and it eventually leaked the tiny beads. I was going to replace it with another brand, but decided at the price (almost half of the others) it was worth buying again.It's really refreshing for the eyes.I have severely dry eyes that are really helped by my Thermalon eye compresses. I use them two times per day for 5 min. each and it really helps.This Dry Eye Compress is fantastic! Quick to heat, holds and maintains heat very well for suggested treatment time. So glad to come across this, as I have horrible dry eye. Much better than hot wash cloth compresses that get me all wet and I don’t need a constant hot water source to keep wash cloth at consistent temperature. Which means sitting in the bathroom for 5-6 mins with the hot water running. It seems very good quality- stitching and the elastic adjustable head band is secure and the compress stays put, and really conforms to eye sockets. I highly recommend this for dry eye and sinus headaches and just a nice time out with shut eye. Will be rebuying and am looking forward to using their other heat products.Highly recommended !So I wrote that it works well, and it does, but I had to make some modifications to it. My eyes are quite narrow and the gap between eyespads made it not fit me well. Not their fault, though. I took the piece in the middle and folded it over on itself and used a needle and thread to stitch it in place. That now makes the elastic a bit snug but again I made modifications and got it to work for me.The pad heats up in 20 seconds and gives just the right amount of moist heat to help with my eyes. My eye issue is dry eyes due to: “Meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD) refers to the condition where the glands are not secreting enough oil or when the oil they secrete is of poor quality. Often, the oil gland openings get plugged up so that less oil comes out of the glands.“. This seems to be helping some. Definitely helping more than the warm wet washcloth and all the mess that it causes with water everywhere and having to reset/reward it every couple of minutes because it won’t hold heat for any length of time.I would recommend this product and will buy again if you/when another is needed.I used this eye compress after surgery on my eyes and it really soothed them. You put the item in the microwave for up to 30 seconds in 10 minute bursts, making sure it doesn't get too hot. Then elastic goes round the back of your head to hold it in place and you can lie back and relax - absolute bliss! As I was post surgery, I just laid it over my eyes wihtout the elastic strap and laid flat as I didn't want to 'press' my eyes in any way but I now I have it for general use when my eyes feel dry or tired, simply as a 'soother and relaxer' and it works wonders. Highly recommended for dry or tired eyes.This mask works well and heats up easily in microwave. I found the width of the mask was too wide for my small face (I often have this problem) so I stitched up the seam over the nose and it fits fine now.Would recommend to anyone.Easy to wash in cold water - took ages to dryI used it twice and found it got hot but didn't provide the moisture my last eye compress did and had no effect whatsoever on my dry eyes. It can't be returned due to the nature of the product which is a shame as it's not fit for purpose. Wouldn't buy againThese Thermalon dry eye compresses were recommended by my ophthalmologist several years ago and I use them everyday, in addition to prescribed eye drops. They have totally alleviated my severe dry eye symptoms.Took a long time coming but worth the wait. My wife loved it straight away
