I was looking something microwaveable because I don’t have a lot of time in the mornings to heat milk. This is perfect. I can’t believe how much difference in froth I get out of using this little jug. By the way, this is almond milk filled to the top of the slant in the cup bottom (see second photo). Frothing completely filled the rest of the cup, so you don’t have to use just regular milk.Performs as describedWould have been nicer as a glass instead of plastic, but would have been more difficult to manufacture that way. Not sure how long this will last.Disclaimer: I'm much more a tea drinker than a coffee drinker.Still, on scrape-the-ice-off-the-car-just-so-the door-will-open mornings, coffee is better, so I made an occasion of it. This frothing jug provides a big push in that direction. First, the jug provides a line which indicates the milk level needed for three cups worth of foam. The plastic is microwave safe, and (I hear) the slanted bottom reduces the risk of burnt milk. With a 800W microwave, I needed 45 seconds to get whole milk (2% may be different) to just over 140 degrees F. The clear sides make it easier to see where the head of the I absolutely love this jug! The reason for 4 stars instead of 5, is that it does not froth. The description on the website is a bit misleading: "Milk frothing jug with 3-cup capacity" and "Large capacity for more froth at one time" and "Jug is angled for effective frothing". The jug itself does not do this; it needs a separate "frother", not included. In my case, it didn't really matter, because I was only looking for a microwavable milk jug that would hold more than one cup of milk. And when I went back and checked the listing I saw that it did mention coordinating accessories, but I didn't notice that at the time. My fault. However, I do love my microwavable jug that allows heating more than one cup of milk at a time.The mug I am reviewing is a replacement for an apparently identical one, which developed cracks and leaked after a couple of years. Maybe production is better now, or it had a different manufacturer. I took one star off for possible lack of staying power.For me this works perfectly and it seems to be microwave safe. If I have a concern - it's that the capacity is not large.
