I HESITATED TO BUY THEM FROM THE DESCRIPTION , COST , AND EXPLANATION OF WHAT WERE AND WHAT THEY WERE LIKE . THE QUANTITY TO BUY AND THE COST SEEMED HIGH UNTIL I RECEIVED THEM . THE BOX THEY CAME I WAS A BIG , HEAVY BOX AND WAS HEAVY FOR ME TO LIFT .MY FIRST USE WAS TO USE TWO OF THESE PLATES THAT SEEMED STIFF , WATERPROOF AND SAFE TO MICROWAVE A 44 OUNCE BOWL OF A DOUBLE SERVING OF RAMEN WITH VEGETABLES THST I HAVE TO USE 4 or 5 WEIGHT DIXIE 10 1/ 16 INCH TO BE SAFE AND SOMETIMES I SPILL SOME BEFORE THE PLATES FLEX BEFORE I CAN GET THE HOT BOWL OUT , THESE PLATES HAD NO FLEX, NO SPILL, NO HEAT TRANSFER USING ONLY TWO PLATES ,( THAT NOW I CAN EVEN REUSE THEM . TO PUT STIR FRY SCALLOPS AND VEGETABLES ON !
